Question

Is it bad form to start a Kickstarter campaign to fund my webcomic so I can do it full time?

Eventually I’ll have to get a real job and the comic will probably be reduced to a once a week thing.

I don’t know. I’m just trying to figure out how to keep it going into the long run.

Thoughts?

  1. mirrz answered: Sorry to get heavy but “real” jobs are gnerally far faker than the laughter your webcomic brings. Start that kickstarter. Plz
  2. mimesandpunishment answered: Kickstart that shiz, man.
  3. jheath answered: That’s what it’s for as I understand it. I think it’s a great idea. I love the prints of yours my girlfriend bought and hung on the walls.

  5. obeseethiopians answered: do it
  6. bogmad answered: I think the trick is to have something tangible folks can contribute towards with the added benefit of allowing you to go full time.
  7. supersecret answered: if you need help (layout, alignment, prepress, etc.) don’t hesitate to get in touch. it’s what I’m studying.
  8. tymywhat answered: kickstarter!
  9. katiecoyle answered: Isn’t that what Kickstarter is all about? Do it! Although I agree with baitandswitch that a book might be a good first step.
  10. flannelowl answered: nope not bad form, this is what kickstarter is made for as far as i’m concerned
